Purchase Procedure

Each product offered for sale on the Website can be viewed using a special link to photographic images of the article together with colours and different sizes (where relevant). Information regarding "Harleq" products offered for sale through the Service is provided in accordance with applicable legislation, in particular Articles 49 and 51 of Legislative Decree No. 206 of 6 September 2005, as amended by Legislative Decree No. 21 of 21 February 2014 (hereinafter referred to as "Consumer Code"). Customers may choose the articles of interest to them. A description of products for sale, including the measures or sizes (where relevant), together with one or more photographic images in digital format providing a true representation of products available on the Website.
While HARLEQ is constantly adopting measures to ensure that photographs displayed on the Website are faithful reproductions of original products, including the adoption of every technological solution possible to minimise inaccuracies, some variations are always possible due to the technical characteristics of the colour resolution of the computer used by the Customer.
Prior to confirming the Order, Customers are required to verify the accuracy of the contents, complete the purchase form writing to info@harlequisofa.co.uk confirming quantities and type/model and confirm that they have read and accepted these General Terms.
The purchase will be fully completed when the customer receives our reply confirmation by email.
Following Order Confirmation, the Order shall be sent directly to HARLEQ. The Order shall be filed in the HARLEQ order management system. Customers will receive emails for any update of the status.
As provided at Article 51 of the Italian Consumer Code, Customers shall also receive an email message (hereinafter the "Confirmation E-mail") at the address indicated on the purchase form.
The Payments Methods actually accepted are direct bank transfer, cheque on delivery in Euro value. Upon request, we may accept also payments with Paypal with a percentage of interests applied depending on the billing country.
The Customer is therefore aware that all the products described on this Website are subject to availability at all times. Problems may occasionally occur with regard to the availability of certain products. In such circumstances, HARLEQ shall promptly notify the Customer by email or phone (in all cases within the delivery deadline indicated hereunder), offering the Customer the option of buying an article of the same kind as the unavailable item. If the charge has already been made, the Customer shall be promptly refunded. HARLEQ reserves the right to alter articles on sale through the Website at any time without notice.

Guarantees

The wooden frames of all of our items are guaranteed against faulty materials and workmanship, for a period of two years from the date of receipt. Fabrics/leathers supplied by the customer are not covered by our guarantees and the customer should ensure that they are fit for purpose. Each of the items that we produce is individually hand made. There can be minor variations in colour, size and appearance between the goods and items displayed in our showroom, in our advertising literature, on our web site and in our advertisements. Every piece of leather is unique. Each and every hide is hallmarked with its own character and qualities. Such hallmarks include growth lines and scars. These hallmarks are a testament to the natural origin of the product and should not be regarded as a defect or fault. Also, each hide has variations in the texture of the grain and shade variations within and between hides. For the discerning owner, such hallmarking has long been considered one of leathers principal attractions. It is also quite normal to expect crease lines and some stretching to occur particularly on cushion tops. We are unable to accept the return of goods based on the complaint of trivial natural marks, scars or stretching that a reasonable person aware of leathers natural characteristics would expect. All guarantees apply to the original purchaser. These guarantees do not cover components such as legs, castors, buttons, studs, staples, springs, belts, straps, webbings etc. as well as damages caused by regular use (wear and tear) fair wear and tear, padding or foam loss due to intense use, neglect, abuse or misuse of your goods, This includes but is not limited to damage caused by: Extensive use. Abuse of product. Chemicals. Disregard for the product care or cleaning instructions. Stains including but not limited to: food, ink, bleach, sunscreen, zinc, chlorine, etc. Animals or boring insects. Third-party alterations made to product. Theft, or accidental damage or loss caused by a third party.

Refund

On receipt of your order it is essential to inspect the goods for any signs of transit damage and note down any problems on the driver's note. Minor incidents are often resolved by sending an upholsterer to your home and therefore you may decide to accept the delivery for convenience sake. If the item is badly damaged, refuse the items and contact us immediately. *In the case of a refund, we will arrange to collect the goods and refund the total amount of monies paid, less the delivery charge and less a collection charge which will be equal to that of the original delivery charge. We regret we are unable to accept the return of bespoke goods as they have been specially made at your request.
